Scott is a charter member of de Oplossing, Inc. He came to us from GBI Construction Company where he served as an Assistant Project Manager for the construction of three $12+ million dollar schools in the Atlanta metro area. Scott’s organization and communication talents were quickly utilized as he worked to complete a $22 Million dollar High School in Florida (new construction), the completion of a large Hotel in Atlanta, and the completion of the renovation of a Historic City Hall/ Police Station in South Florida on behalf of our Surety clients. Having been so heavily involved in Surety Contract Completion, armed with an abundant knowledge of each project and the project documents, Scott worked in the preparation of the Surety claims and the litigation that followed completion. Scott is certified in Expedition (Construction Management Software), proficient in P3 (Construction Scheduling Software) and a master of CaseMap and TimeMap (Litigation Support Software). In addition, he lends his superb visual and creative talents as he oversees the creation of visual presentations for use in Mediations, Arbitrations and Litigation. He is especially gifted at making complex construction issues SIMPLE, knowing that the eventual audience may not be so construction savvy. Scott has testified as a Construction Expert Witness and has provided valuable assistance to attorneys as he is uniquely qualified to make sense of the mountains of paper that accompany today’s legal environment. Scott served as Program Planner for the extensive on-site review and assessment for the Berkeley Senior Secondary School in Hamilton, Bermuda. He organized and collected all of the complex data, photographs and expert reviews into a comprehensive assessment that covered the 9 Building, 200,000 sq ft High School. The report detailed the status of the completion of the project, the extent of the construction deficiencies and the status of the Building Systems (MEP’s). The report and associated expert testimony contributed to a favorable settlement in a British Tribunal Arbitration hearing in Bermuda on behalf of the Bermuda Industrial Union. Recently, Scott served as Project Manager/ On-Site Construction Manager for the 9 building Highlands Grove Office Condominium project in Smyrna and provided the management for the completion of the 45,000 sf office space in the new 7 story Emerson Overlook (a de Oplossing project) for the law firm of Moore, Ingram, Johnson and Steele, in Marietta. Scott has recently married Terri and lives in Decatur. He has 3 grown children.
