Prior to joining de Oplossing Inc., Ed was Senior Project Manager for GBI Construction Company, located in Atlanta. From October 1994 through October 1999, he was a Project Manager and Senior Estimator in the Marietta, Georgia office of Walton Construction Company, Inc.; a Kansas City, Missouri based ENR Top 100 general contracting firm. At Walton, Ed prepared the estimates and bids for numerous hotel, retail, and public school projects and managed the construction of numerous hotels. His formal education includes a BBA degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas in 1969 with a major in Management and a minor in Civil Engineering. Ed started his career in the construction industry in 1969 as an estimator with Plains Builders, Inc., a design / build general contracting firm in Amarillo, Texas. At Plains Builders, Ed eventually assumed project management responsibility for a variety of commercial, school, and church projects throughout the Midwest. After starting his own construction management firm in 1976, Ed managed design, development and construction of multiple commercial projects through 1980 for Mach Investment Group; a Texas based real estate development partnership. Between 1980 and 1985, Ed was Project Manager and Vice President for Collins Construction Corporation, building various commercial and industrial projects in the western states. From 1985 to 1988, Ed was President and General Manager of Collins Pacific Corporation, a wholesale distributor of plumbing products with two locations in San Diego County, California. Ed returned to Plains Builders, Inc. in 1988 and managed various commercial, church, and public works projects through 1993. Ed has obtained and held general contractor licenses in the states of California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, and Virginia and has managed construction projects in twenty-six states, Puerto Rico, and Ecuador. Ed is married to Vicky Norrid, an attorney practicing in Cobb County, Georgia. Ed and Vicky have four adult children.
